This year, I’ve decided to slow down and level up at the same time. So what’s that all about…
For the past six or seven years, I’ve been zooming through life like a speed racer. Work, finances, saving for that dream house out west – it’s been non-stop hustle. But it’s starting to wear me down. I haven’t been giving myself enough me time.
So, it’s time to find a better balance between work and play. I want to take more time to do the things that bring me joy, like traveling, going on adventures, and spending time with my loved ones. I’m going to make self-care a priority this year. I want to live in the present moment and appreciate the beauty around me.
The past few years have been tough on all of us, and it’s easy to get caught up in the chaos and forget to take care of ourselves. But the truth is, we deserve some TLC. That’s why I believe it’s important to take a step back and invest in ourselves. We need to prioritize our mental and physical well-being, especially during these trying times. It’s time to slow down, take a breath, and focus on what really matters. Whether it’s catching up with friends, trying out a new hobby, or simply taking a walk outside, we need to do things that make us happy.
So let’s take some time for ourselves, okay? Let’s prioritize our own well-being and make self-care a daily habit.
In short, this year is not just about slowing down or leveling up, but about finding a better version of myself. I believe that by doing so, I will not only be happier and healthier, but also more productive and fulfilled in all aspects of my life. Here’s to a new year, a new me, and a new beginning!
So here’s what my goals this year look like:
I will take more time to write
I will spend more time painting and creating
I will play with Sonny (my wonderfully, amazing dog) for several hours a day
I will dance more
I will go hiking more
I will travel more
I will restart my meditation ritual
I will give myself a spa treatment at least once a month!
And of course, starting this blog is a way for me to take the time to really think about my growth, health and the things I want out of life.
